The weight of road and aerial vehicles is an important variable in many issues of traffic safety, infrastructure health monitoring, freight transport, and in terms of ecology. The measurement of the weight of vehicles is currently carried out statically or dynamically at low speed by weighing devices placed between the vehicle wheels and the carrieageway. These devices, made by the company Captels among others, allow the measurement of a large variety of vehicles, but only part of those are actually weighted in the traffic, because this takes time.
