With the rapid increase in urbanisation which increases concerns about urban air quality, there is a strong demand for vehicle suppliers to deliver zero-emissions vehicles.
The shift to electric-powered vehicles is already well underway, particularly in the Chinese bus market. China, home to many of the biggest bus manufacturers and suppliers in the world, took the lead in the transition to electric vehicles following a report from the World Health Organisation in 2016 which deemed China the world’s deadliest country for air pollution.Now the country hosts the largest fleets of electric buses in the world, and continues to reduce air pollution through policy changes and a growing acceptance of a new sustainable culture.
