The Institute of Technology Assessment and System Analysis (ITAS) is one of the leading institutions in Europe that provides advice for politicians. Since 1990, it has been running the Office of Technology Assessment with the German Parliament (TAB). TAB advises the German Parliament by providing information derived from research- and technology-related studies, technology assessment projects, and trend analyses. So far, more than 140 reports have been made available to the public.
