The European Commission is fully committed to a fast deployment of self-driving technologies in Europe. It confirmed its support at the 1st European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving (CAD), in Brussels on 3 and 4 April 2017.
The conference focuses on the significant progress made in developing automated road transport technologies, such as advanced vehicle control, vehicle localisation systems, data processing, artificial intelligence or user interfaces, fostered by Horizon 2020, the EU research and innovation programme.
