New nanosensors for the detection of TNT
(Nanowerk News) A new type of sensor has the potential to replace sniffer dogs when it comes to detecting explosives such as TNT. This week, researchers from a number of institutions including TU Delft are publishing an article about this subject in the American Chemical Society's journal Nano Letters ("Metal-Organic Polyhedra-Coated Si Nanowires for the Sensitive Detection of Trace Explosives").
