On 12 August, at noon sharp, the light blue and silver multiple unit arrived in Wroc?aw Main Railway Station. On Friday, the train set off from Alstom’s plant in Italy. The entity in charge of its transport was PKP Cargo. The first train will now undergo numerous tests on various tracks, including the test track of the Railway Institute in ?migród.
From Italy to Poland
The train set off from Savigliano, Italy, on Friday, 9 August. It covered the distance of about 1,500 km. Since the train set has not been granted a safety certificate yet and was considered a “special shipment”, it was pulled by EU45 locomotive provided by PKP Cargo. For the route via Italy, Austria, and the Czech Republic, the cargo railway operator provided the service of four train operators, one for the route section in each country. EIC Premium multiple unit arrived in Poland from the Czech Republic via Lichkov-Mi?dzylesie border crossing.
